USAG Daegu Public Affairs

Command Information is communication about, between and for the Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Daegu and the members of his command, the staff and personnel of all subordinate commands and all family members who live and work in Area IV. This is accomplished in part through the production of The Morning Calm Weekly Newspaper, this Web site and social networking/media sites such as Facebook, twitter and Flickr.

Public Information is the acquisition and dissemination of information through the civilian news media. It includes coordinating news correspondents' coverage of operations, responding to their queries, releasing news stories and conducting activities in support of the commands Community Relations program.

Community Relations helps analyze local public opinion, coordinates command speakers for the local community, assists with support for ceremonial functions, and provides assistance in the scheduling and support of local and installation tours. The CRO advisor assists the PAO and the commander with written and oral translations and the US Forces Korea Good Neighbor program.
